UWF Training Program

UWF TRAINING PROGRAM

The United Women Firefighters (UWF) has successfully trained hundreds of female candidates with the desire to join FDNY. We offer several free weekly training sessions that effectively improve cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength. Regardless of your fitness level, we highly encourage you to take advantage of the training program as you pursue your dream to become a New York City (NYC) Firefighter.

During the UWF training sessions you will be trained with CPAT equipment, on fitness machines, and with various weight loads. Trainers will work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, make suggestions for personal improvements, and implement fitness routines that will help you pass all physical requirements needed to become a NYC firefighter. Female Firefighters and personal trainers with years of experience and a solid success rate will be coaching you to reach your full potential. You will be in an environment with other women candidates also striving to become firefighters, which will be an additional boost of encouragement as you train. This training program is a valuable place to get your questions answered about the FDNY hiring process and any other questions you may have about what it's like to be a female firefighter in NYC.

Please check out our Program Rules if you'd like to participate in our training program.
